is a riot. how to play: at least 4 players is good. each person gets 5 or 6 slips of paper, + writes down a dif. celebrity on each one. all names go into a hat. then you have 3 rounds:
Round One: one person takes the hat. he/she pulls a name out of the hat. describes the person, without saying any part of their name. And no "sounds like." when someone guesses correctly, draw another name + repeat. do as many as you can in ONE minute. then pass the hat. next person does the same, + so on, round + round, until no names are left in hat.
Round Two: put all the names from round 1 BACK in hat. do the same thing again, EXCEPT this time, you can only describe the person in ONE word. so, on the one hand, you've heard all the names already, so you know who you're working with, but on the other hand, how do you describe, say, tori spelling in one word (and still distinguish her from the other Round 1 bitches)? remember, each player gets only one minute per turn. keep passing the hat until all names are gone.
Round Three: same drill, but NO talking! just charades only. like i say, a charade of tony danza is hard, unless you can do a split. and/or you have a broken umbrella prop.
hurrah. sure to be a hit at your next (danze) party.
Aw thanks! Actually I want to thank Tony and Tori for trying to keep the dream (ie their careers) alive. It shows us we can all make it, or if not actually make it, we can have a good chuckle.
Hey! Well, I have the video because...I'm a huge dork and stay up late watching dumb tv shows!! I think this show is on ABC and I've only seen it at 2 am in the morn...but if you're a night owl it's the only thing on tv besides "Elimindate" and that kind of stuff.....I want to play that game though! I've never played it!
Maigin you made that into the most epic love story of has-been B-list celebrities doing splits. It's as though they're running to each other, splitting for one another. Once again you have showed me your MF superiority.
i am so out of the tv loop. had no idea he had a show! time? channel? please?
and hey, have you ever played the game 'celebrity,' where there are 3 rounds, + the final round involves having to do a charade for a particular celebrity? i was playing this, + i got... tony danza. dude, how the hell do you do an effing *charade* for tony danza?!? well, i guess now i know. thanks, maigin!
