Books: Cyberpunk books by William Gibson, Rudy Rucker, Bruce Sterling, and Cory Doctorow. Also: books by John McPhee, C. J. Box, and Douglas Adams (too bad he died!!).
Artists: Peter Brugel (The Elder), Hieronymus Bosch, Dali, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and Picasso. My cousin, Joan McLaughlin Hanley. My Aunt, Madeline McLaughlin (she, at age 73, sculpted "Alien" for the movie).
Heroes: Charles Darwin (evolution), Abraham Lincoln (stood up for what was right), Ghandi (respect for other peoples), Jimmy Carter (peace and sensitivity for the poor), Woodrow Wilson (international awareness), Teddy Roosevelt (started the National Park system), and Hubert Humphrey (who was the person who really started the Peace Corps, not John Kennedy), My Dad and Mom.
Enemies: "W", Cheney, most organized religionists (especially fantical Christers), and racists.
Dreams: Win the Lottery and help my kids and some environmental causes.
