wow, this video is fantastic. I want to experiment more with time lapse. Thanks for the formula! The music is perfect. Nice remix job.

This is spectacular. Did you do this with just a normal digital camera? I suppose you would have. Have you ever seen that Orbital video with the time lapse video? I like that one, but I like this one better. Good job.

That was

they call this timelapse video eh? I'll have to remember that.

My two favorite parts of the video...

1. When you show the moon for the second time and it looks almost like it just dissolves into flame and smoke in the right corner...beautiful.

2. The street for the second time...daylight comes and sears the film to a close, lol.

and the music is great too...great remixing...

:) i think i was a couple of streets off. this was a few of years ago, so i'm not sure if it's still there. it was closer to the tower records. that safeway is funny. do they still charge you for cart usage? but we detract from movie talk! :)

really nice work, very well edited. i feel like that's my corner too, since i work there. it's the best that corner has ever looked.

yes, I live at the corner of 14th and Market right across from the Safeway. The shot is of the intersection where market, 14th and church all intersect. I'm glad you like it, thanks.

Time Lapse

This is a short experiment with timelapse video. I plugged a video
camera into my computer through firewire and used webcam software to
capture a picture every so often. I did some math to figure out how
long I wanted my clips to be versus how long I wanted to record. If you
take 1 frame every 2 seconds for 2 hours you will end up with a 2 minute
clip - etc. etc. Since I was limited by the length on my firewire cable
what you see is only what can b...
