See, now that's just one of the things that makes medicinefilms so cool. My search for lost footage was inspired by another mfilm, West Virginia Boys, put together by the illustrious Zac Davis himself! [/pimping]. His is an exellent film. Cycle of inspiration rolls on.
Ha.... my memories of graduation from Catholic school, no matter how blocked they were, are flooding back.... I'm new to this, but you just gave me an idea to start digging through my parent's old stuff. Thanks!
Found videos are the best! A piece of someone's history in your hands.
You should bring that vid when you come here and then we can watch the creepy vid I found too and have a found vid party! Or go hunting for more found videos!
I love this! Michael's mom is just so proud. I love how she says "kiss your brother graduation" -- it's just so sweet. And I can also relate to Michael's embarrassment. This whole movie is just so raw and real.
What a find -- after all those tapes of old episodes of the Simpsons and Friends. I wonder how that man down in the park came into possession of this tape -- a garbage can somewhere? theft? who knows, but we all win...
Oh, I know, poor Michael. I can totally relate, but without the camera evidence, thankfully. Now I'm the one who chases my folks around with the camera until my mom tells me to cut it out. Serves them right for embarrassing me in front of my friends when I was young and insecure.
this is amazing.. it reminds me of Capturing The Friedman's... although the mother in blue w/ aviators is much more vegas-fabulous that ms. friedman ever was.
on another note, i must say i can relate to michael, because my mother was always obnoxious with her 35mm camera... every event, even a simple saturday in the backyard, had to be captured by an entire roll of film.
You know, [michael] would love to run across this bit of history. His Mother really caught their relationship... she should be applauded. No matter how annoying her chase was, it was wonderfully human!
